The Music and Worship Ministry of New Testament Baptist Church exists to encourage all believers to glorify God through song, prayer, scripture, and testimony. For this reason, the central philosophy of this ministry is not entertainment, but to provide an opportunity for God's people to worship Him in spirit and in truth. True worship happens when the hearts of God's people are engaged in adoration of Him. Worship is to be ascribed to the Lord, for the Lord, and about the Lord. He is the object of our praise, and the only true Head of His church.

Churches throughout the ages have worshipped God in countless forms, manners and traditions. At New Testament we seek to keep the focus on our life changing God instead of our personal preferences for style. As a result, music used in our services may have been written a few weeks ago or several hundred years ago. God continues to work through His Spirit in today's song writers and worshippers, and we seek to glorify Him with exuberant praise, honest repentance, and genuine prayer for His work to continue throughout the world. Human emotion is a creation of God, so God should be honored in every one of them. The central idea to every song and prayer is God, and our aligning ourselves with His heart, offering ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. (Romans 12:1)

Opportunities for involvement in this ministry include worship team vocalists, worship team instrumentalists, sound technicians, choir, ensembles, drama, CD and website services, and most importantly in the participation of every church member in corporate worship.
